Staff & Dogs

First of all let me introduce  the staff. They will take care of you like you are family during your stay. For sure they will do their utmost to make you feel “home away from home”.

Nyoman – from the next village of Mengwi. She is the daughter of the landlord and has a husband and 2 daughters. She runs the house and speaks very well English. She takes care of your breakfast, lunch or snacks, but can also assist you in booking a masseuse, waxing or fishing trip.

Kadek – is the second help. She lives in Munggu, the next village with her husband and 2 daughters. She is working during the day time to assist Nyoman with cleaning, laundry, and lunch

Made – is your cook, from Tabana, and has a husband and a son. She is versatile in both International and Indonesian cuisines. She will be happy to teach you how to cook Balinese dishes.

Pak Sandi – is from Singaraja but lives 1 hr away in Pemogan. He loves to adorn the Buddha with flowers. He has 2 children; a boy and a girl.

Wayan – Is your 2nd security. He is from Tabanan but lives close to Tanah Lot. He has 2 young children. Like all our staff he loves dogs and has 2 at home.

Kadek – is your  security. He comes from Tabanan ,around 20min away . He is a modern man as he takes care of his factory in classic balinese rooftiles and 5dogs during the day together with his wife. At night  he is taking care of Villa Sansil.

As Villa Sansil is located on beach we are regularly confronted with dumped dogs and puppies. Balinese people cannot afford sterilisation or vet costs, so if a dog gets sick they dump it on the beach hoping the gods will take care. Also female dogs are not welcome as they will get babies. So we regularly take care of puppies and find them new homes.

Therefore the amount of dogs on the grounds vary: of course there is a hard core of dogs that stay, mainly because we love them. They are friendly and will seek your affection if you are into dogs. If not – they will leave you in peace.

So Villa Sansil is the perfect getaway for dog lovers. To maintain cleanliness, we do not allow dogs in the bedrooms or on furniture However, you are free to take them for a walk on the Bali sands, and they are your backup security system in case of any unwanted guests – though Seseh beach is a very safe neighborhood.
